VLURE and Lambrini Girls Ignite Glastonbury 2024 with Passionate Performances

As always, Shangri La is Thursday night’s hot spot, and this year sees two back to back sets from Glaswegian pill punks VLURE and the crucially political Lambrini Girls. Down at the Peace stage, it’s ironically a riotous affair as.

VLURE’s apocalyptic rave vibes mesh with moments of sheer euphoria and resistance. They closed their set with a visual representation of togetherness and tolerance, brandishing Scottish and Palestinian flags side by side, the festival’s values pulsating through the crowd.

Lambrini Girls were simply built for Glastonbury. With vital voices that thrive beyond the stage, their leader Phoebe delivered passionate speeches. She rallied the crowd to chant “Free Palestine” and celebrated queer identity, calling any queer-identifying person a legend. Their presence, a beacon of activism, amplified Glastonbury’s commitment to change and inclusivity.
