In an unprecedented musical display for environmental activism, Dan Smith from the celebrated band Bastille unveiled a message in melody. Aboard the storied Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise, he voyaged into the enigmatic Bermuda Triangle.

Music and environmental activism collided in the mysterious waters of the Bermuda Triangle as Bastille’s Dan Smith delivered a powerful one-off performance aboard the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise. Dan shared his artistry through an unreleased song titled ‘Blue Sky & the Painter’, a melodic tribute to hope and perseverance, much like the painter Edvard Munch’s breakthrough from darkness to light.

  • The song’s poignancy mirrors the urgent need to shield our blue planet.
  • Smith’s impromptu session in the tranquil Bermuda sea served as a stark reminder of our collective role in battling climate change.

“I was invited onto this iconic ship to learn and help out… It just felt like an ideal opportunity to collaborate with the crew on capturing this song,” Smith reflects. His endeavor not only serves as creative expression but as a bridge to connect fans with environmental issues.

Smith emphasizes, “…I’m really worried about climate change and massively keen to know how I can be useful.” He encourages everyone to take part in Greenpeace’s initiative. By signing their open letter, we can urge governments to enforce the Global Ocean Treaty and cement a real positive impact.
