Drahla Drops ‘Second Rhythm’ from the Much-Anticipated Album ‘angeltape’

Leeds art-rockers Drahla are back, captivating the alternative scene with their latest single, ‘Second Rhythm’. This electrifying track heralds the arrival of their new album, ‘angeltape’, which is hotly anticipated following their acclaimed debut ‘Useless Coordinates’.
With a history marked by evolution, including several line-up transformations, Drahla are set to unveil their newest work on 5th April. Vocalist and guitarist Luciel Brown delves into the complexities behind the new song, stating, “‘Second Rhythm’ is the twisted reprise to our 2019 release ‘Primitive Rhythm’. It bridges and at the same time nuances the transition between our first album ‘Useless Coordinates’ and ‘angeltape’.”
Thematically profound, the song draws on the unparalleled works of Shakespeare, venturing into the realm of existential introspection and the human experience of loss. “Lyrically it’s taken inspiration from Shakespeare’s ‘to be or not to be’. It’s navigating loss of life and life with loss. ‘To be, I see, what is, to be’ it’s a one-way deconstructed conversation with yourself,” explains Brown.
