Employed To Serve are back with a powerful new single, ‘Breaks Me Down’, offering insights into the depths of grief. This track is not just a song—it’s an emotional journey that resonates with us all.

Employed To Serve have shared their latest single ‘Breaks Me Down’, giving fans a tantalizing taste of the impending album ‘Fallen Star’, set to release on 25th April via Spinefarm. With this new track, they delve deep into the themes of love, loss, and the uncertainty surrounding death.

Vocalist Justine Jones elaborates on the single’s powerful message: “‘Breaks Me Down’ deals with the uncertainty of death and what it means for us left here on earth when someone you love passes beyond the veil. It is something we will all experience at some point in our lives, and yet there is no one handbook that can guide you through the experience of grief. That being said, it makes life more precious and motivates you to make the most of the time we have with the people we love.” This raw and honest perspective invites listeners to reflect on their own experiences of loss.

The new album, produced and mixed by Lewis Johns, promises an impressive array of collaborations, featuring guest appearances from Killswitch Engage’s Jesse Leach on ‘Whose Side Are You On?’ and Svalbard’s Serena Cherry on ‘Last Laugh’. The record also includes a collaboration with Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos on the previously released single ‘Atonement’.

“We want to fly the flag for heavy metal and the traditions that it holds. But at the same time, we want to play our part in taking things forward,” says guitarist Sammy Urwin, highlighting the band’s commitment to evolving the genre.

To celebrate the release of ‘Fallen Star’, Employed To Serve will embark on a UK headline tour. They will be joined by Celestial Sanctuary and Burner, culminating in their largest London show to date at the O2 Academy Islington on 25th April. This tour is an exciting opportunity for fans to connect with the music and the message behind it.
