South London band Ain’t has just dropped a new single titled ‘Pirouette’, embodying the essence of change. The track coincides with their UK tour and an exciting upcoming headline show.

South London band Ain’t has just unveiled their mesmerizing new single ‘Pirouette’ through Fear Of Missing Out Records. This track arrives amid the band’s UK tour supporting THUS LOVE, and serves as a precursor to their first headline show at London’s Waiting Room on June 12th. ‘Pirouette’ follows on the heels of the band’s previous singles ‘Oar’ and ‘Teething’ and marks an important moment in their artistic journey.

The new track was crafted with the masterful hand of producer Theo Verney, whose work has resonated with fans of English Teacher, Lime Garden, and Egyptian Blue. Ain’t’s guitarist and vocalist George Ellerby shares the story behind this compelling song:

“I wrote Pirouette during a time characterized by significant change: a relationship had recently ended, I was dating someone who seemed uninterested, and moving between precarious flat shares. Through this unsettling phase, it felt like the band itself was on the brink of change too, just as our full lineup was coming together.”

“When I started writing Pirouette, Ain’t comprised just Ed, Jeevan, and me; by the time we had it in the practice room, Joe, Hanna, and Chapman had come on board. The confluence of these experiences deeply inspired the song’s lyrics. I felt like I was on the threshold of something new, practically crying out for it, yet clinging to parts of my past. ‘Pirouette’ articulates the fatigue of break-ups and the lethargy of modern dating, but it’s infused with a hopeful sense of exhilarating new beginnings.
