MOULD Unleashes Haunting New Single ‘FRANCES’

Bristol’s MOULD have shared their new single ‘FRANCES’, the third preview of their upcoming EP ‘Almost Feels Like Purpose’. The track arrives ahead of the EP’s release via 5dB Records, which was recorded at Bristol’s Humm Studios during summer 2024. MOULD is clearly on a creative roll, following previous singles ‘CHUNKS’ and ‘SNAILS’.
But what’s unique about ‘FRANCES’? The titular song draws inspiration from a rather peculiar muse, described by vocalist Joe Sherrin. He explains: “‘FRANCES’ is a song about being haunted by the ironic ghost of a killer bird called Frances. It’s quite difficult for me to talk about.” Now that’s a captivating concept!
This three-piece band, consisting of Sherrin (vocals, guitar), Kane Eagle (vocals, bass), and James Luxton (drums), recently showcased their electrifying sounds at New York’s New Colossus Festival. They’ll also take the stage at the Great Escape Festival in May.
