Glasgow Punk Band SOAPBOX Set to Release New ‘LOCK IN’ EP

Glasgow punk band SOAPBOX are gearing up to take the music scene by storm with the release of their highly anticipated EP, ‘LOCK IN’, on April 25th. Alongside this exciting drop, they have shared a raucous new single titled ‘Do As Ur Told’.
SOAPBOX draws influence from legendary acts including The Damned, Soft Play, Amyl and the Sniffers, and Viagra Boys. Their approach to music is unapologetically bold and filled with raw energy. Speaking about their artistic vision, the band notes, “we all have a severe praise kink so as long as people keep listening, we’re happy.”
‘LOCK IN’ follows the release of their previous EP, ‘HAWD THAT’, and is set to coincide with their biggest headline show yet at the iconic Glasgow School of Art.
Let’s dive deeper into the new single ‘Do As Ur Told’. Vocalist Tom Rowan shares that the song is a reflection of a challenging experience they faced in the music industry. “Its lyrics are specific to a bad experience we had where we felt we were being taken for a ride, but it’s also about being coerced into unbeneficial situations. The frustrations we face as musicians trying to make a living resonate with everyone who has dealt with power imbalances,” he explains.
