Frontman Austin opens up about the creative genesis of the track: “The song bloomed out of a newfound obsession with Mogwai, courting an arpeggiated loop into form. What ensued was a gust of inspiration, with a baseline that seemingly etched itself into existence.”

Austin further reveals, “At its core, the lyrics reflect a child’s daydream of a conventional suburban life, yet upon reflection, it’s evident that the fabric of my real upbringing – unorthodox as it may have been – was indeed the cornerstone of my character.”
