Scottish singer-songwriter Calum Bowie has dropped his debut EP ‘Through The Window’. This collection showcases his musical journey, featuring the fresh single ‘Your Anthem’ as the standout track.

Calum Bowie has just released his debut EP ‘Through The Window’, which includes his latest single ‘Your Anthem’, via Capitol/Polydor Label Group. This captivating five-track collection not only highlights his newfound artistry but also includes previously released tracks ‘Dream Of My Own’ and ‘Wherever She Goes’. Arriving as the artist wraps up his sold-out UK tour, the EP promises to take listeners on an unforgettable emotional journey.

The latest single, ‘Your Anthem’, holds a special place in Bowie’s heart as it was penned when he was just 15 years old. “It’s about growing up in a small town with nothing much to do, other than hanging with your mates,” he reflects. As he reminisces about those carefree days, he recalls driving around with friends, blasting their favorite tracks, with music serving as their ultimate escape. “There were times when I wanted to escape. But now I always want to be back! It’s such a tear-up,” Bowie shares, infusing authenticity into his music.

Originally hailing from Banchory, Aberdeenshire, Bowie has already made a name for himself as a breakout artist, having been awarded the ‘Breakthrough Artist’ title at the Scottish Music Awards in 2024. Following in the footsteps of music legends like Paolo Nutini, Lewis Capaldi, and Emeli Sande, his rise in the industry has been nothing short of meteoric. His recent live performances include unforgettable sets at iconic festivals such as Glastonbury, The Great Escape, TRNSMT, and Boardmasters.

Speaking about his debut EP, Bowie candidly explains, “Mostly, I write from experience. The EP is really personal. It’s me. It’s my life.” He continues to reveal how his music is an amalgamation of his real-life experiences, capturing both the highs and lows of his personal journey. “I’ve had lots of ups and downs – not just in music, but in life – and those stories are the thread that ties it all together.”
