Man/Woman/Chainsaw, the trailblazing ensemble that’s been capturing the ears of the indie music scene, just dropped their latest single, ‘The Boss’.
The track, a live show powerhouse, has been unleashed as the third preview from their debut EP ‘Eazy Peazy’.
Slated for a much-anticipated release on 8th November through Fat Possum Records, it follows the robust singles ‘Ode To Clio’ and ‘Grow A Tongue In Time’.
The band’s ambition in ‘The Boss’ is to articulate the all-too-familiar strain of skewed power dynamics, wrapping their frustrations in a colossal rock anthem.
Described by the band as “the heaviest of the songs on the EP,” it traces its evolution from a typical punk tune to something entirely more galactic in scope – thanks to the spontaneous synergy of violin and synthesizer.
Producing the track alongside Dan Fox from Gilla Band enabled them to plumb new sonic depths, relishing in the process of electrifying violins and toying with tape delays, all dialed to the max.
