Blossoms Shake Things Up with ‘What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?’ Featuring Sean Dyche & a Fibreglass Gorilla

The indie scene is buzzing with the latest drop from Blossoms, ‘What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?’. Charting new creative territories, the band has teamed up with none other than Everton Football Club manager Sean Dyche and an infamous 8-foot high stolen fibreglass mascot, ‘Gary the Gorilla’, in what can only be described as a fantastically whimsical confluence of sports, music, and… grand theft gorilla?
Helmed by directors Ewan Ogden and Tom Ogden, the music video’s quirky cameos are matched by the stellar production involving J Lloyd of Jungle and James Skelly from The Coral. This is Blossoms’ first major release following their nostalgically poignant 2023 hit ‘To Do List (After The Breakup)’, featuring artist Findlay.
In a statement dripping with his signature dry wit, Sean Dyche shared, “I was delighted to be asked to appear in Blossoms’ new video and it was great to have a ‘craic’ with them whilst filming. Great lads and a great band … Loving what they all produce.” Meanwhile, Gary the Gorilla remained enigmatically silent on the matter.
Blossoms are not shying away from their experimentations, saying, “We’ve always been big fans of Jungle so we reached out to them last year about working together. This was the first song we worked on, it came together in a couple of hours and we absolutely love it. Sonically, it feels like a new avenue for the band but it still retains the core Blossoms DNA.”
