London’s vibrant post-punk group Alien Chicks has whipped up excitement by releasing their latest single ‘Mr Muscle’. This energetic track is the third single from their upcoming EP ‘Forbidden Fruit’, following the well-received ‘Donkeyhead’ and ‘Babe’. Mark your calendars because the full EP drops on 9th May, thanks to Hideous Mink Records and SO Recordings.

The trio, consisting of Josef Lindsay on guitar and vocals, Stefan Parker-Steele on bass, and Martha Daniels on drums, describes ‘Mr Muscle’ as a “high energy crowd favorite.” The band captures the essence of their unique sound by stating it is “uncategorisable, uncountable, unplaylistable, and erratic.”

In true Alien Chicks fashion, the slapstick chorus of this track is a playful nod to their beloved cleaning products. However, don’t be fooled; deep themes of mundane life and a capitalism-induced sense of boredom underpin the verses.

Recently, Alien Chicks has been generating buzz with their independent venue performances and supporting Pom Poko on tour. As they gear up for a series of live shows across Europe and the UK, anticipation is building among fans and newcomers alike.
